Unity of Old and New Photographs

In this series of carefully photoshopped images, photographer Shawn Clover created composite photographs that blend historical scenes from the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and his own present-day captures of the same locations. (via Colossal)

ERB: Obama vs Mitt Romney

I thought this would be pretty good considering there is a debate between Obama and Mitt Romney. Looks like the media is going big on this.

Who won?

2012 Presidential Debates and Social Networking

This article relays what many think to be the "funniest" tweets posted on Twitter regarding the most current presidential debate. It's interesting to think about the instantaneous nature of social networking... Romney makes a comment about Big Bird or having "binders full of women" and the next thing you know, it's a trending topic on one of the largest social networking sites. Millions of people will proceed to tweet or retweet about what comes out of the candidates' mouths, and those who don't even tune in to watch the debate probably feel like they already have with the bombardment of information they receive by the simple act of social networking.

You can read the article here.

Video Games

As we talked in class today about the positive and negative side effects of video games, we mostly discussed hand held controller games and ones that promote violence or learning. As technology increases, video games have become more of a physical activity as well, which many people tend to forget. New advances like Wii Fit, Just Dance and Xbox Kinect provide a more active atmosphere for video gamers that will also let out anger in a more productive and safe atmosphere.

Thought this was kind of funny and embarrassing for both Flava Flav and Miley Cyrus.  when I saw this it reminded me how we were talking about the iheart radio festival in class.
