Time Warner bans gun ads

http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/491427-Time_Warner_Cable_Bans_Gun_Ads.php

After the Sandy Hook shooting, Time Warner Cable has announced that they will be banning any ads on their network that features semi-automatic guns and/or guns being pointed at people.

I think this is an interesting move for such a large company. We seem to forget how much violence is shown everywhere these days- movie trailers, video game commercials, etc. Does this mean no more movie trailers from this network? If that's the case, I can't imagine anything good coming from the change besides trying to get a point across. Companies like Time Warner Cable thrive off of showing ads for all types of products, movies, and shows-- which a good number of them contain some sort of gun violence or gun use. I'm very curious to see if this sticks and what other people think of the stand that Time Warner is taking.
