I think this is interesting and true video. It is targeted mainly on females, but I think males are influenced as well in terms how they see women. They expect them to be like females they see in mass media. And of course, it applies the other way around as well. I am just wondering if there ever will be something else people must have to be perfect or is this ultimate?

The media's manipulative influence over your morals

The content of this piece addresses EXACTLY what I intended this class to address. How are our thoughts and minds affected in ways we don't even realize by the thousands of daily messages we consume from the media? Do we accept or reject these messages? Who produced them and why do they want you to believe their message?
ReplyDeleteYeah, after I saw this video I became more conscious of how much media really influences us. I mean, I always knew it, but I did not think the impact was that big. I realized it has a huge effect on me as well; the way I see myself and other people, even though it is not as extreme as it may be (anorexia, bulimia...), the significant influence is there, and it is kind of scary.
