Conglomeration of the Publishing Industry

Recently, Penguin Books and Random House publishing companies announced a merging of the two publishing giants. The merge is said to create the " largest consumer book publisher in the world," serving as yet another example of the growing prevalence of conglomeration and various types of media.

  1. Great example Kendrick. I was also interested in another point in the story; that future digital publishing was an important consideration of the merger.
