Country singer, Luke Bryan, has developed a music video campaign in hopes that it encourages fans to vote for him as ACM Entertainer of the Year for 2013. The idea is that his website gives you a frame from the music video, you mimic it on your own webcam, and shortly after it is incorporated into his new music video for "Just a Sip". Do you think this is a good way to target fans and supporters?

I think this is a great way to target fans simply because he is incorporating his fan into a music video of his. I mean no matter the singer, it would be cool to be in a music video of a famous singer. In addition, I am not sure this tactic has ever been done, and if he ends up winning the title as ACM Entertainer of the Year for 2013 then I can be more entertainers will replicated the tactic.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a good way to get the fans' attention and their votes. However, I think that people may use it for the wrong reason. For example: Luke picks people who do not even like country music or him instead of those who adore him and his music. Those who do not like country music or Luke Bryan entered the competition because they want to be seen on TV.
