Judge throws out NY drink ban

After one day, the ban on extremely large sugary drinks in New York was thrown out. Mayor Bloomberg created this ban to help fight against the growing problem of obesity. Do you support this decision to throw out the ban or do you think Mayor Bloomberg is doing the right thing?

  1. What Mayor Bloomberg did was the right thing to do. Actually, it was a brave thing of him to do. Probably no one would do that because the decision that he made was not popular. As many would always say, "the right decision is not always popular."

Mayor Bloomberg is trying to help the Americans to reduce obesity. There are some things that Americans need the government to decide for them because they can't do it themselves. Limiting sugary product is one of them. Americans would buy thousands of the sugary product that was about to be released because it's cheap! They most likely would not buy healthy drinks because it is not cheap. So, having our mayors, like Mayor Bloomberg, would help us reduce our bad eating habits by limiting sugary products.
