  1. Not to step on any toes, but this article talks about a conference that I've attended once before and have taken alot from, and believe in strongly.Though some of the content echoes the attitude of this post, that our generation feel capable to do anything and be the best. I guess this instance just puts it in a more positive light. http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2013/01/06/college-students-raise-funds-to-fight-slavery/?iref=allsearch

  2. I am not going to lie. I would have said that my generation is the greatest generation if somebody asked me. The cause of my statement is not because of the nice compliments that we receive from others. According to the article, it says that we would choose "'above average’ in the areas of academic ability, drive to achieve, mathematical ability, and self-confidence." It's because we set our bars very high due to the pressure we get from media. We see a lot of skinny, beautiful people on the cover of a magazine and we tell ourselves that we want to be like them. So, we dress up, stay fit, and work hard in school. Also, the other reason is that it is hard to get into a good college.

I couldn't find the right article so, here's the one I think is ok:
