Would be great if you discussed whether you think she should or shouldn't keep her job? Why or Why not? Do you think schools should be stricter about teachers posting pictures and/or statutes about their students?
Overall, I think this was a stupid move on the teacher's part. Why would you think it was a good idea for you to take a picture of the students doing that, then to caption it in an inappropriate manner? I know of teachers who have facebook and use it responsibly. For instance, I had a teacher in high school who I had to work with for a club I was the head of. We used facebook to communicate with each other about club events and spread the word more effectively to the club members and the school community. I think people should just be more conscious about what they post instead of making the generalization that we need to sensor all social media and not allow it for school usage. When used correctly, social media can be an effective tool in the educational system.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kassi. Also, The teacher should of definitely thought more about the picture before posting it on facebook because that is very irresponsible of her. I do not think she should have gotten suspended, since it was a joke but due to her lack of thinking before posting the picture, she had to know that there were consequences to come.
