The teenage girl shot and killed days after performing at Obama's inauguration

Have shootings increased within the last year? Why is this becoming such a horrible trend? Do you think this girl being broadcasted on national television a few days earlier has anything to do with this incident? Or was it just a coincidence?

    I feel as if they have definitely increased over the last year. It seems as if I hear about one every other day.

    Yeah, shootings are occurring way too frequently and it is very scary knowing that you cannot feel safe in a public place.

    Thats awful, she was so young. I think gun control is a huge issue and something needs to happen soon before the rapid rate of these shootings only gets worse.

    I don't think her incident has to do with her performing in Obama's inauguration. However, I believe that shootings have increased this year. The gun control is out of control. Something needs to be done soon before another shooting occurs. I really do not know why people choose to harm innocent people by using guns to be heard.
